A close one, but another preseason loss for the Owen Sound Attack.
The North Bay Battalion scored a late goal in the third period to tie the game, and ended up beating the Attack 3-2 in a shootout in Ontario Hockey League preseason action Sunday afternoon at North Bay Memorial Centre.
The Attack led 2-0 heading into the third, after second period goals from Pierce Mbuyi and Sam Ethier.
Lirim Amidovski and Andrew LeBlanc answered for North Bay in the third. LeBlanc’s game-tying goal came with a minute remaining in regulation.
The Attack (0-1-0-1) play their first home preseason game next Wednesday, Sept. 18 against the Barrie Colts at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
