South Bruce Peninsula is gearing up for the Wiarton Willie Festival.
The event starts at 7 a.m. on Friday, February 2nd as the municipality rouses Willie from his winter slumber with a fireworks display.
That day also happens to be a PD Day for students, so after the prediction, there will be free public skating.
Country 93’s Shawn and Julia are emceeing this year’s event.
The festival continues with festivities on Saturday, February 3rd with events at Bluewater Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be a trackless train, gaming trailers, a rock climbing wall, axe throwing, a photo booth, and human foosball.
