The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is now accepting nominations for the 2024 volunteer of the year awards.
The town says organizations, employers and community members can participate in the nomination process to recognize volunteers in the community.
Volunteers and volunteer organizations can be recognized for their work in social and recreational opportunities, cultural and environmental initiatives, youth and senior programming, and other activities which have benefited the town.
Nominations can be submitted until March 1 at noon at the Clerk’s Department.
A recognition event to honour volunteers will later be held on April 18 at 4 p.m. at the Sauble Beach Community Centre.
