Bruce County Council spent some time reviewing the draft budget for 2024.
During the Corporate Services Committee Meeting on Thursday, county staff tabled the draft 2024-2028 Capital and Operating Budget for review.
The proposed budget emphasizes intentions to support existing assets including county staff, as well as continuing to build reserves.
The draft also shows the difference that development charges will make over the next five years.
The proposed spending on Capital projects is expected to increase to $14 million, up from $12.1 million in 2023.
The Operating budget will climb to $54.3 million, up from $50.1 million.
Budget discussions will continue in November, with approval and adoption set for December.
