An expert panel will be set up in Alberta to talk about nuclear power, following Bruce Power’s application to build reactors in that province. Bruce Power is asking for federal approval to build several reactors in the Peace River region. The panel will be led by former federal Tory cabinet minister Harvie Andre, and will look into environmental, health, and safety concerns. The panel’s report is scheduled to be completed by fall.
