A Paisley woman is facing charges after allegedly driving while impaired and assaulting police.
Saugeen Shores Police say on Facebook, they recently took a report of an erratic driver heading northbound from Port Elgin.
Police say the vehicle was located at a residence on Turner Street.
Officers reportedly located a driver matching the description given by the complainant.
They say, while police attempted to place the driver under arrest for impaired driving, she allegedly assaulted officers in the process.
A 46-year-old woman from Paisley has been charged with Operation While Impaired (80+) and Assault with intent to resist arrest.
Police say she was released on an appearance notice with a future court date. Her driver’s licence was suspended and her vehicle was impounded.
