An anniversary celebration is coming up for the Tobermory Friends of the Library.
The group is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Friends of the Library groups are non-profit organizations that work independently of the Libraries they support.
The Silver Anniversary party will be held on Tuesday, April 25th, between 11 and 1 at the Tobermory Library Branch at 22 Bay Street.
Since the group’s conception in 1998, they’ve helped raise $30,000 to contribute to benches, a bike stand, a circulation desk, and financing specialized programs.
In 2016, they received the Gabriele Schreiber Friends of the Year award.
