It’s time for the annual check of the municipality of Arran Elderslie by municipal staff. Mayor Ron Oswald says all councillors and department heads will be touring the wards of Chesley, Paisley, Tara, and the former townships of Arran Elderslie. Oswald says it’s a beneficial trip, because they see first hand what projects need to be done in their area. They’ll be looking at things like roads, sidewalks, sewers and other infrastructure projects. Oswald says each councillor has a list of things to see in their own ward; same with the road superintendent and the water manager. He says a list will be compliled from the tour, and throughout the summer, be put in order of importance, and which they anticipate completing this year. The bus leaves the municipal office at 9; the trip lasts the entire day.
