Some lawyers in Bruce and Grey Counties are giving money to charity.
The Bruce Law Association has handed out five cheques for one thousand dollars to five charities.
One of the members, Hanover lawyer Selwyn (sell-win) Hicks, says they came up with the idea last Christmas.
The charities that received the funds include Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hanover and Kincardine, the Bruce County Childrens Foundation, the Bruce County Childrens Aid Society and the Women’s House of Bruce and Grey.
The funding will help the groups purchase equipment and supplies and pay for recreational activities for kids.
Hicks hopes this kind of donation becomes an annual event.
