South Bruce Peninsula is extending its contract with Ontario Provincial Police.
Town council approved a staff recommendation at its meeting Tuesday to renew its contract with the OPP for another year under the existing terms and conditions.
The new agreement would expire on Dec. 31, 2023. Council still needs to pass a bylaw at its next meeting to formalize it.
The town has spent about $2.3-million annually on policing in the past few years.
