Saugeen Shores Police say a 25-year-old is facing charges following a break and enter in Port Elgin.
Police say on Sept. 4 at 11:52 a.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress at a home in the 800 block of Bricker Street.
Police say they were informed by the homeowners that they had arrived and noticed the side door was open. Peeking into the window revealed an unknown man was sleeping on the living room couch.
Police say the accused from Saugeen Shores was known to police and was charged with breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, and mischief under $5,000.
Police add the accused also has an outstanding warrant by provincial police.
The accused was held for a bail hearing today.
