Kincardine councillor Ron Coristine has some concerns about the Kincardine Airport.
Coristine is calling on the airport management to make reports to council at least three times a year with the first one to come in July.
Coristine says he’s concerned about the safety at the airport and some housekeeping issues there.
Coristine says he has noticed a child playing with a dog in the airport parking lot.
He says there are planes and jets landing and taking off which could create a danger.
In addition, he has received reports of excess garbage being blown about that could get caught in the engine of an aircraft which could have tragic results.
Coristine says the airport is a big piece of the community’s infrastructure that costs a lot of money to operate without getting the return on investment they would like.
He says it’s time to get some information on how things are and where things are going and what it might cost in the future to keep things up to spec.
