All crossings of the Chi Cheemaun for the rest of Monday have been cancelled.
There is a hydraulic issue with the ferry, so all of the crossings at Tobermory and South Baymouth today have been scrubbed.
Officials hope the Big Canoe will be back in operation by 7 AM on Tuesday.
