The Green Party of Canada’s Bruce-Grey-Owen-Sound electoral district association is choosing a new executive tonight.
The party will hold its Annual General Meeting at the Harrison Park Community Centre in Owen Sound.
Communications Co-Chair Dan Blenkinsop says they choose two people for each chair position — one female and one male.
He says the positions include the Chief Executive Officers, financial agents, as well as recording, membership, fundraising, organizing, communication and Young Green chairs.
Blenkinsop says those interest in being elected must be official members of the federal Green Party.
He says memberships will be on sale tonight for 20 dollars.
But Blenkinsop adds you don’t have to be a member just to attend the meeting.
He says provincial candidate Don Marshall will speak, along with Emma Hogbin who ran for the Greens in this past federal election.
Hogbin sits on the Green Party’s Shadow Cabinet as the critic for Science and Technology.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7 PM at the Harrison Park Community Centre.
