It’s done in many homes and there’s no reason why the Bluewater District School Board couldn’t do it as well.
Southgate Grey Highlands Trustee Jim Dawson has presented the board with an idea to form a financial review committee.
Dawson says the committee would help trustees monitor how the revenues are being spent by the board on a monthly basis.
Dawson says by doing this — they know exactly where they stand when budget time rolls around.
Dawson says many homes monitor their own budgets and families review them on a regular basis.
He says there is no reason why the board couldn’t do the same thing on a monthly basis through a financial review committee.
The motion will come before the Bluewater school board on Tuesday.
