It’s been a while since there’s been any word of how a 10-million dollar development plan for downtown Ripley is coming along.
Bayshore Broadcasting News talked with developer David Brown who was playing his cards close to his chest.
Brown says recently he’s still committed to the project that would see 159 apartments, an outdoor farmer’s market and a business development being constructed.
He admits it’s a challenge to put it together and he hopes to start construction next year.
Brown says the financing of the project is a big thing but so is developing a business plan to make it work.
Brown has said in the past he hopes the project will become a community-based one in Ripley, making the municipality a culinary-centred tourism destination.
