A former Owen Sound psych nurse will appear in court today to answers to charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
Randy Leslie was charged after an investigation at the Owen Sound hospital in July 2009.
Before a trial date can be set — this hearing will determine the legal admissibility of a statement to police.
Four days have been set aside for the hearing — June 13 to June 16th.
Leslie had his certification stripped by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
The discipline panel held a hearing in April and concluded Leslie committed an act of professional misconduct and breached professional standards.
The committee heard evidence of sexual contact against an adolescent patient who was staying on the psychiatric floor of the hospital.
