There is a bridge in poor shape in South Bruce Peninsula.
The town will not allow any more heavy trucks on the Jewel Bridge on Jewel Bridge Road near Sauble Beach.
The maximum weight restriction is posted at five tonnes.
Public Works Manager Phil Dwyer says the posting is necessary after an engineering inspection was done on Thursday.
He says the bridge is safe for cars and light trucks, but motorists should still drive slowly across the bridge.
