A Mentoring Matters committee has been set up in Saugeen Shores to help recruit volunteers and raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hanover and District.
The group is now responsible for helping to match kids in Saugeen Shores with big brothers and sisters.
Community Advisory Committee Chair, Jill Beaupre. says the program works to change children’s lives and makes communities healthier and stronger.
All those interested in learning more about the program can attend tonight’s free mentoring information meeting.
It takes place at 7 PM at the Port Elgin United Church.
Beaupre, a former town councillor, is hoping for a big turnout.
Those who attend will be able to see a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session for residents.
