There is a free public information and discussion planned for tonight at Chesley District High School.
A panel of food processors, producers and retailers will discuss the many options consumers have.
Organizer Barb Klages says they want the community to be aware of the local options and how we can buy from not just grocery stores, but directly from farmers and small producers.
She says a large part of the evening will focus on the challenges small meat packers and abattoirs face.
Groups like Foodlink and the Grey-Bruce Culinary Association will also have displays.
Students will give tours of the Agricultural Specialist High Skills Major program as well.
The session starts at 7:30 PM at Chesley District High School.
