A group of students from St. Dominique-Savio in Owen Sound are on their way to New Brunswick today.
In March, 20 students from Grande-Anse, New Brunswick, came to the Grey-Bruce area.
Now, teacher Linda Grenier, says her 23 students will visit New Brunswick to see what it’s like to live in an area that is predominantly French-speaking.
She also hopes the students will understand the benefits of speaking a second language and how it will open doors for them in the future.
Grenier says the majority of the population in Grand-Anse does not speak English, so she’s hoping it will give the students a sense of pride in being able to communicate.
Students will take part in various activities while in New Brunswick.
They return June 8th.
