The way is clear for Huron-Bruce Liberal MPP Carol Mitchell to seek her third term in the Legislature in the October 6th election.
Mitchell was acclaimed by members of the Huron-Bruce provincial Liberal Association in Wroxeter on Thursday night.
Mitchell told party supporters she will run on the McGuinty government’s record of the past eight years and that much work is yet to be accomplished.
The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will run against Lisa Thompson of the Progressive Conservatives.
The NDP has not yet nominated their candidate.
