The community of Desboro is trying to help a local teen battle cancer.
Organizer Nancy Scarrow says they will be selling Plants for Brendan Rourke, an 18 year old student at OSCVI.
Scarrow says Brendan grew up in Desboro and went to school with her daughter, and she and her neighbours felt they should organize something to help the family raise money.
She says the plants have been donated by people in the community, and all of the proceeds will go to the Rourke family so Brendan can travel to Toronto to receive treatments, and have his family be with him.
The plant sale will take place Saturday in the OSCVI parking lot from 9 AM till 3 PM.
Geoff Stevens will perform around noon.
There will also be giveaways to coupons donated by local businesses.
