We have more details about that fire in Southampton at the Guest House Inn.
Firefighters have controlled the massive blaze and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office has been called in to investigate.
But the relatively new hotel has been destroyed by Monday’s blaze.
Saugeen Shores Fire Chief Phil Eagleson tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they called the Fire Marshall, given the size of the building.
Highway 21 at Bruce Road 13 in Southampton had to be closed for part of the day due to the massive blaze.
Eagleson says it looks like the blaze started outside and moved onto the roof area of the building, but he couldn’t confirm how the fire started.
