St. John’s Ambulance is getting ready to move out of their current Hanover office.
Branch Manager Kathy Ermel says they will hold a Moving Sale and BBQ today to raise money for their new build.
Items from the current facility, such as training supplies and other household items and electronics donated by volunteers, will be for sale.
Ermel says the public is invited to come pick up some items, have some lunch and support a good cause.
St. John’s Ambulance is building a new training centre in Hanover, right across the street from their current home on 5th Street.
Ermel says they need to raise a total of 100 thousand dollars and all of the proceeds from today’s event will go toward their goal.
Mayor Kathi Maskell will be on hand at 11:30 AM to present a 10 thousand dollar cheque from the Town of Hanover.
Ermel says that brings their total fundraising to date to 30 thousand dollars.
There will also be blood pressure clinics and ambulance tours, as well as a chance to meet the Therapy Dogs.
There will be balloons and activities for kids as well.
The Moving Sale and BBQ runs from 11 AM to 2 PM.
