Today’s a special day at Bruce Power and it’s going to be a special day for school children in the region as well.
Bruce Power Community and Government Relations Manager Ross Lamont says today is the 10th anniversary of holding the licence on nuclear site in Tiverton and producing electricity.
Lamont says they’ll be sharing some cake and coffee with employees at the facility but more importantly they’re going to share the anniversary with school children in the region.
He says Bruce Power is providing a pizza lunch for all area school children today in celebration of the event.
Lamont says for most people at the site the most defining moment of the past ten years happened right at the beginning, when electricity started being produced again at the facility.
