Grey County OPP are probing a suspicious fire that destroyed a two storey garage in Chatsworth Township.
At about 9:30 AM on Tuesday — an alert neighbour noticed smoke rising from a nearby property and called the Chatsworth Fire Department.
They found the building on Strathaven Road between Massie Road and Grey Road 40, totally engulfed in flames.
OPP say it was a two story garage with living quarters in the upper level.
No one was living in the apartment, but some tools and lawn care equipment stored in the lower level were destroyed in the fire.
Damage is over 40 thousand dollars.
Meanwhile, Grey County OPP say a combination of recent shed fires in the area and the fact that the cause of this latest blaze was not apparent have prompted the Chatsworth Fire Department call in the OPP.
The Office of the Fire Marshall was also notified and an investigator has been assigned to determine the cause of the fire.
