More high speed internet options are opening up for Grey county residents.
Barrett Explore Incorporated has set up the first two towers for it’s 4-G network that will cover the county.
In total, the company is putting up 18 towers over the next 6 months, offering customers internet service that is 125 times faster than dial-up.
General Manager of Barrett Explore Incorporated, Sue Good says it’s part of a huge investment by the company across Canada to better serve rural internet users.
Good says Barrett Explore is spending over 300 million dollars (Canada-wide) upgrading it’s line-of-sight tower system and satellite system for those living in valleys.
With towers now functioning in Owen Sound and Keady, the company is rolling out several options to customers, with prices comparable to fibre optic service in the cities.
