A new store-front window is needed at a strip mall on 10th street west in Owen Sound, after a pickup truck drove thru it.
Owen Sound Police reports just after 8 PM on Thursday — a 62 year old city woman left the M and M Meats store and jumped in her truck.
Police say she thought she put the vehicle into reverse and stepped on the gas to back out.
Instead the vehicle had slipped into drive.
It lurched forward and slammed into the store front window and front faade.
Fortunately the store clerk had gone to the rear of the store at the time.
Neither she nor the driver were injured.
Damage to the vehicle and store front was substantial.
