A renowned author on the subject of autism is coming to the area.
Jennifer Krumins will speak about “Autism and the Grandparent Connection; Being there for your grandchild.”
Autism Grey Bruce is hosting two presentations with Krumins in Kincardine and Owen Sound on Thursday.
The Kincardine talk starts at 1 PM at the Davidson Centre inside the seniors room.
Then Krumins will be speaking in Owen Sound at 6:30 PM in the North Grey Public Library Auditorium.
Autism Grey Bruce Vice President Paul Eichhorn says the event is aimed at raising more awareness about autism and the important role grandparents play in the development of children with autism.
Eichhorn says the majority of autism questions their chapter receives are from grandparents.
Krumins has also written books on Autism Spectrum Disorder including Been There, Done That, and One Step at a Time: ABA and Autism in the Classroom.
