Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch is making predictions for the new year.
It should come as no real surprise that Murdoch has the PC party winning the next Provincial election.
Murdoch says he’s crunched the numbers and has the Progressive Conservative’s winning a small majority with a around 60 seats.
What may surprise some, but then again maybe not, is that Murdoch predicts the official opposition will be the NDP.
Murdoch thinks Andrea Horwath’s NDP will take the remaining 27 seats and Dalton McGuinty’s liberals will take around 20.
He expects the NDP to pick up seats in London, Windsor, Northern Ontario, and even in Toronto, because its ripe for a change.
Murdoch says as the election nears, the clip of Dalton McGuinty saying ” I will not raise your taxes” will come back to bite him.
And he adds the HST disaster alone is enough to sway voters.
As for the electrical rebate the Liberals promised, Murdoch says its simply taking money out of one pocket to put it in the other.
Looking back, Murdoch has no regrets about retiring and looking forward he thinks if elected Bill Walker will serve the region proudly.
