The Bruce Power safety clock — measuring no lost time injuries due to accident at the Tiverton plant — came to a stop, that last unusual snow fall we received.
Bruce Power Vice President of Corporate Affairs Murray Elston says they had logged about 3.3 million hours without a lost time incident.
However, on this snow and icy day, there was a fall resulting in a broken leg to a worker.
Elston says they take pride in their safety record and this was just a reminder that unexpected weather can result in unexpected accidents.
Before this the clock ticked off over 22 million hours of safe work before an accident brought that to a halt.
