It’s a busy weekend at the annual Home and Cottage Expo at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound.
Event Facilitator Doug Cleverley says four thousand people are expected to walk through the doors when all is said and done, and he says there will be lots of exhibits to explore once you’re in.
Cleverley says they have a record 158 exhibitors set up this year, which has had them completely sold out of space.
He says they’ve even expanded part of the show outdoors to include a Garden Annex.
Most of the exhibitors are local, but he says they have some from London, the GTA, and one from Eastern Ontario.
And if you take a drive by the Bayshore, you’ll see a very unique exhibit set up outside — a Mongolian camping tent.
Cleverley says it’s a year-round tent that takes two hours to set up, but it can be kept warm with a wood heater inside.
Cleverley says the demand from exhibitors seems to grow every year, because they know it’s a great place to showcase their services and products.
Also included this year is a new Green Zone that features Earth friendly and energy efficient products from zero emission motor scooters to ground source heating.
Admission to the show is five dollars and it continues today from 10 AM until 4 PM.
