The Bluewater public school board is hosting another Accommodation Review Committee Meeting tonight.
It begins at 7 PM at Chesley District High School and the fate of the schools in Chesley and Hanover will be discussed.
The committee will announce which direction it wants to take with regards to school closures and new builds.
All 30 ARC members will anonymously provide their first and second preferred option.
They have been charged with the task of reviewing all 11 options and prioritizing their top choices for the public.
Among those options include the closure of Chesley District High School and the creation of one large high school to house students from Chesley District and John Diefenbaker.
Another possible option involves creating a J-K to Grade 12 school in Chesley and the construction of a new Grade 4 to 12 school in Hanover.
There will be no opportunity for public comment tonight, however written submissions will be accepted.
ARC Chair Salim Shaw encourages residents to attend tonight’s meeting.
Superintendent Alana Murray says the ARC Committee has a tough job ahead.
ARC members will submit their recommendations to the Bluewater District School Board trustees in June.
A final decision is expected in October.
