The fire service provided by the Paisley and District Fire Department to Saugeen Shores residents closest to Paisley will continue.
But the wording in the agreement has changed.
Saugeen Shores Fire Chief Phil Eagleson says the move was necessary since Arran Elderslie has taken over ownership of the fire department.
Eagleson says otherwise nothing else changes with the service and response time to town residents serviced by Paisley.
When Saugeen Shores divested itself of part ownership of the fire department, it was left with a credit to be used again fire services provided.
Eagleson says there’s still a 57 hundred dollar credit, but after that, it’s still cost-effective to use the Paisley fire service when necessary.
