Owen Sound Police have charged a drunk driver after he left the scene of an accident.
Police say the 41 year old man rear ended a parked car with his, in a parking lot at a strip mall Saturday evening around 6 PM.
When the driver got out of the parked car, the man hit the car a second time, and almost hit it a third.
The driver then fled the scene without offering any help or identifying himself.
A witness followed the car and watched it pull into the driveway at an eastside home.
When officers went to the home, the man registered breath samples of two and a half times the legal limit of blood alcohol content.
The man’s vehicle has been impounded, and he’s had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
He has also been charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
The 21 year old driver of the other car, and her two young sons were not hurt.
