Brockton is starting the New Year off with a party and everyone is invited.
A New Year’s Day Levee is being held at the Walkerton Legion from 1 PM until 3 PM on Saturday.
The event is being hosted by the municipality and the Legion.
Mayor David Inglis encourages everyone to take time out to attend the first social event of the year.
He calls it a great opportunity for residents to become better acquainted with their new Council.
Councillor Chris Peabody says there are many new faces on council so this is the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with their elected representatives.
Peabody says the afternoon is also about good cheer and fellowship.
