Budding scientists will be showing the projects at two science fairs this month.
Put on by the Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair, the competitions are open to all students in Grey and Bruce County.
Chair John Twelves says the secondary school competition is today at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound — and the elementary competition is set for April 13th.
Parents can check out the projects between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM on each of those days, with the awards ceremony immediately following.
Twelves says there are two thousand science projects in Grey Bruce each year.
The top 200 will go to Grade 7 to 12 competition, and about 300 Grades 4 to 6 students will be at the junior fair.
There is a lot of interest in the Science fairs, with Twelves already receiving some 500 e-mails from students and parents since December.
