Tiverton’s understaffed volunteer fire department is being brought back up to normal standards.
Kincardine fire chief Jamie MacKinnon says they always like to have 25 volunteer firefighters on call at both the Tiverton and Kincardine stations.
Kincardine is fine but Tiverton has been short five people for the past year or so.
MacKinnon says Kincardine council has approved a 10 thousand dollar expenditure to train the new recruits to minimum standards.
He says the recuits will be sent to Blyth for the training.
