The leaning Tower of Primmer may soon be put-upright.
According to Owen Sound city hall chief building official Brian Green all the necessary permits have now been issued for foundation work on a planned B and B on the west side.
Phil Primmer wants to turn his century old home into a bed and breakfast but has been delayed for months, as the bills piled up.
Green says a foundation permit was issued and the drawings still include a planned 700 thousand dollar addition to the house.
The house was moved off it’s original foundation in November to allow for construction of a new Shoppers Drug mart in Owen Sound.
It has been sitting, somewhat tilted, on a vacant lot nearby and Primmer wants to move it onto part of the old Black Clawson Kennedy site.
Green says the ministry of environment has given the property a clean bill of health, and foundation work can now go ahead.
No word on when the house will be moved to the site, or when the business might open.
