The search is on for a new CEO for the South West Local Health Integration Network.
Tony Woolgar’s 3 year contract expired in the summer.
Southwest LHIN Board Chair Norm Gamble says the recruitment process will be a lengthy as they will try find the person with the right skills for the position
Gamble says the CEO is a key position as the person is the leader of the LHIN.
Gamble says they will look at people within the LHIN and outside so they don’t close all their options.
Gamble says he expects to fill the position in the next five or six months but it could take up to nine months.
Senior Director with the LHIN Michael Barrett is the acting CEO and will be until the position is filled.
