OPP received a call just after 12:30pm from a Walkerton resident who found a device he thought could be explosives on the shore of the Saugeen River in Walkerton on Saturday.
Police have set up a perimeter to prevent citizens from coming into the area and residents are also asked to stay away from the area.
The OPP Western Region Explosive Disposal Unit, a branch of the OPP Field and Traffic Support Bureau is currently on route to the scene,
