The Annual Port Elgin Rotary Home Show is in the books for another year. Chair Norm Charbonneau says close to 26 hundred people attended the show which ran Friday, through Sunday at the Plex in Port Elgin. Charbonneau says that is the number they were hoping for. He says they also raised around 20 thousand dollars for the Rotary Club through booth sales and BBQ draw ticket sales. Charbonneau says the money raised benefits projects already support by Rotarians, like the SkatePark in Port Elgin, the Bruce County Musuem and Cultural Centre and the Southampton Hospital. Charbonneau says they will most likely keep the new format of running the show Friday through Sunday, instead of Thursday through Saturday. He also says the other change this year, was the way the food booth was operated went over well in the eyes of vendors too. Charbonneau says they hope to have the Queen’s Bar and Grill back on board for next year’s show in April.
