A Southampton man is in a Toronto hospital following a logging mishap on a property near Priceville in West Grey.
West Grey Police and Fire along with Grey County Ambulance attended to a property on the south side of Grey Road 4 Glenelg Township just on the west limits of Priceville.
45 year old Richard Maas of RR#1 Southampton was injuried while cutting trees on the property.
He was discovered by the owner of the logging company.
Maas was cutting a tree when an eight inch limb broke off a tree above him and struck him on the head and chest.
He was wearing a helmet at the time.
Emergency workers carried him 1 km through the bush to an open field to the awaiting air ambulance.
He was airlifted to a Toronto hospital.
Ministry of Labour inspector was contacted and attended the scene, the investigation is still on going.
