Owen Sound police are probing a home invasion on the East side.
About 3 Saturday morning up to 6 people broke into a home in the area of 4th avenue east and 15th street and assaulted two homeowners.
The victims were beaten about the head and face and one had to be taken to hospital for treatement.
Several items were taken during the incident.
Sgt. Bill Rusk says although there may have been six people involved in the break-in, it appears two were involved in the assault.
Sgt. Rusk says this was not a random attack and it appears the victims knew the assailants.
So far no arrest in the case.
