One of Durham’s newest doctors has begun seeing her patients.
Dr. Anahi Martins has opened her practice at the Durham Medical Clinic this month.
Dr. Martins and her husband Dr. Hernan Boniolo moved to Canada from Argentina in 2003.
She says it took them awhile… but they finally settled on Durham as the community to set up their practice.
Both doctors announced in July they’d be joining the Durham medical team.
She has plans to eventually reopen a women’s clinic, and he would like to set up a Sports Injury Clinic.
Dr. Martins began screening patients then, and officially started earlier this month as a family doctor.
Her husband is completing his residency in London with the University of Western Ontario.
He’ll finish in December, with plans on joining Dr. Martins in Durham by February of next year.
