The testing involves grade three and six elementary students, and mathematics scores for grade nine students.
At the Elementary level, the Bluewater District School Board is seeing improvements in all three areas with the grade three students performing at just above the provincial average for reading to several per centage points higher for writing and Math.

Grade nine students in the Bluewater board in the applied stream achieved higher than the provincial average in their math testing while students in the academic stream were performing at the provincial average of 75 per cent.
At the Bruce Grey Catholic School board grade 3 students were performing slightly below the provincial average in all three areas, while the grade six students were performing well above the provincial average.
For grade nine students with the Catholic board, those enrolled in the applied program were well above the provincial average for math, while students in the academic stream were near or at the provincial average of 75 per cent.
