The planning advisory committee is waiting for a revised proposal before making any approvals.
Town CAO Mike Dunlop says they’re just looking for a couple minor changes regarding entrances to the restaurant.
He says right now there are three entrances off of 10th Street and the committee’s recommendation is to reduce that to two entrances.
Dunlop says not only will it be better for traffic flow, it’ll be much safer for everyone coming and going.
He says they’re not asking for any changes to the building itself – – which he believes is getting bigger by about 800 square feet.
Dunlop says the expansion means business is booming which isn’t just good news for Tim Horton’s.
He says it’s a good sign how commercially busy they are, drawing more people from around the region.
Dunlop says it shows strength in their business development.
No word if the company plans on hiring more staff as a result of the expansion.
The planning advisory committee will see the revised draft at their next meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd.
