Weather makes all the difference in the world.
The Terry Fox Run in Saugeen Shores took a hit as far as money raised is concerned Sunday but the spirit of those who showed up was still there.
Organizer Holly Vanderzwet reports the Saugeen Shores event raised just over $6,000.
She says despite the pouring rain some 125 participants and volunteers showed up for the event.
It’s a far cry from last year’s total of over $16,000 but the weather was far nicer than this year.
Vanderzwet says there still might be money coming in from people who got pledges but chose not to come out to the rain-drenched event.
So far, about seven thousand dollars has come in from the Kincardine run.
Organizer Erin Frook says more than one hundred people turned out, and the money is still coming in.
