A plan is underway to boost attendance at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre.
The strategic plan was put together by Ron Drews of Orbital Media Group.
Museum Director and Curator Barb Ribey says the plan contains timelines and it helps them get to where they need to be.
The plan calls for a target of 75,000 new visitors to the museum with five years and a 20% increase in the operating budget per year in order to achieve those targets.
But Ribey says that will depend how much money the County is willing to put towards the plan.
Many County Councillors did not like the idea of putting in an additional 20% towards the museums budget but are willing to work on something that is more manageable.
Ribey suggests they take baby steps as they work towards increasing visitation.
Ribey says lately the museum has been spending so much time trying to raise money and not on their objective of putting the best work on display.
